Kettering anticipates reduced waiting times for CT
At Kettering General Hospital are CT/MR senior radiographer Martin Stapleton, CT/MR superintendent radiographer Zoe Saunders, Toshiba account executive Colin Pellow and CT/MR superintendent radiographer Graham Clark.
Kettering General Hospital has acquired a Toshiba Aquilion Prime CT system to replace a 12-year-old four-slice scanner. It is anticipated that the new equipment, which is one of two scanners currently in use at Kettering, will help the hospital to reduce waiting times for CT scans.
CT/MR superintendent radiographer Graham Clark said: “We chose the Toshiba equipment for its dose reduction features and it has dramatically lowered radiation dose to patients. We find it very fast, providing flexibility for a very busy department. It works side-by-side with our second scanner and shares the same control room, making it easier for staff to run them simultaneously.”
