Nottingham City Hospital’s radiotherapy department has chosen two Toshiba Aquilion LB CT systems optimised for RT. A large bore is said to offer easy patient positioning with maximum flexibility for treatment planning.
The acquisition is part of a £21 million development that began in September 2009. Nottingham City Hospital is a specialist cancer centre and the scanners, plus the installation of two additional linear accelerators, are intended to shorten waiting times and improve service.
