Pictured at the handover of a Toshiba Aplio XG ultrasound system is Dr B Al-Murrani, consultant radiologist at Darent Valley Hospital, Dartford in Kent.
The hospital is one of the first in the country to take delivery of an Aplio XG fitted with Toshiba’s new Precision Imaging software.
Precision Imaging is a multi-resolution signal processing technique that analyses ultrasound images on-the-fly at various orders of spatial resolution and separates out structures from noise and clutter. It works with other imaging functions, such as Differential Tissue Harmonics or Aplipure+, to provide the user with the highest resolution and detail.
States Toshiba: “Precision Imaging can be combined with virtually any other imaging mode, such as Colour Doppler or 3D/4D, for even greater uniformity within each application.”
