Leicester General Hospital (LGH) has worked with Althea and Samsung, through University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust’s vendor-independent managed service, to replace all of its plain x-ray rooms.  Samsung has now installed the second GC85 DR imaging system, supported by Althea’s implementation and technology experts.

Plain film superintendent Andy Mear said: “The installation of our second Samsung room went very smoothly and we have seen huge benefits to our patients from the transition to DR, which was superbly supported by the MIS Healthcare applications team.  This room significantly benefits the staff too, due to the reduced physical effort required to operate the equipment.”
