Light and mobile x-ray unit joins Vertec portfolio

Vertec Scientific has signed an exclusive agreement for the distribution of Micro-X’s Rover Plus system in the UK. Said to represent a step change in mobile x-ray design, the Rover Plus uses advanced carbon nanotube technology to reduce its weight by up to 75 per cent compared to a typical mobile x-ray system. The result is a unit that is lightweight enough that motors are not required, meaning it is highly manoeuvrable, with no compromise on clinical imaging performance.
Vertec says it has a track record of launching groundbreaking products in the UK market. Managing director Kate O’Reilly commented: “I am delighted that Vertec is able to bring the Rover Plus to the UK market at a time when efficiently delivering diagnostic-quality imaging in any patient care area is a growing priority. After great interest at UKIO we will be offering a range of purchase or loan options to ensure the practical and clinical benefits can be delivered to as many settings as possible.”
