Following an evaluation of its immobilisation equipment, Lincoln County Hospital’s radiotherapy department has purchased four ProSTEP systems from Oncology Imaging Systems.

Superintendent radiographer Lee Beresford said: “With the installation of a new linear accelerator we decided to re-evaluate the immobilisation equipment used at the Lincoln radiotherapy department.  The knee and ankle fixation device will enable us to accurately and consistently position many patients undergoing external beam radiotherapy.

“In addition we have purchased a MRI compatible version to ensure that we can reproduce positioning when our patients require MRI scans for image fusion.”
