Lynn rings in US Breast Cancer Awareness Month

When Hologic UK’s breast health sales specialist Lynne Callan won the two Scottish Breast Screening Programme tenders in 2012/13 she did not realise it would lead to a special trip to the USA.  The trip included dinner with Hologic ceo Steve MacMillan and the chance to ring the NASDAQ opening bell to commence US Breast Cancer Awareness Month on October 1.

This was the 10th year in a row that Hologic has been invited by NASDAQ to preside over the opening bell ceremony and the first time anyone from UK has had the opportunity.  Callan said: “It was a great privilege to spend time with Steve MacMillan and to ring that famous opening bell.  All of the billboards in Times Square were pink that morning and it was incredible to witness the huge media focus Breast Cancer Awareness attracts in USA.  In addition I met award-winning actress and singer Kristin Chenoweth who is supporting the Hologic US campaign on breast cancer awareness.”
