Mammography chair comes with useful features to make examinations easier at Parapet

The Parapet Breast Unit at King Edward VII Hospital in Windsor has received a Vela Mammography Chair, which is making examinations more comfortable for patients that need to remain seated.
Lead mammographer Shahina Ahmed commented: “I find the chair very user-friendly, easy to manoeuvre and comfortable for ladies who cannot stand. In addition, we have found that the chair has helped improve patient flow.
“The chair’s various features are extremely useful, for example the side arms, lifting, tilting position; it makes our job easier, assisting women who are unsteady on their feet. Since we have received the chair, I now see how much we have struggled in the past.”
The Vela Mammography Chair is useful in patients who need to sit down during examinations, including those who are prone to fainting, wheelchair users or patients with diseases affecting the musculoskeletal system.
