Manoeuvrable scanner is a bonus for Sandyford Clinic

Sandyford Clinic in Glasgow has installed two Xario 100 ultrasound systems from Toshiba Medical Systems.  As part of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, the clinic provides a range of sexual, reproductive and emotional health support through a main clinic and nine community hubs.

Consultant in sexual and reproductive healthcare Dr Audrey Brown said: “We selected the Xario system because the clinic already uses a Toshiba Aplio system and has been very happy with it.  Staff are familiar with the Aplio machine and could start using the systems easily.

“It is lightweight with a small footprint and can be moved to the patient when required.  We were fortunate enough to be funded to purchase two scanners which have enabled us to allocate a clinical room with ultrasound to each team member.  Some of our patients wish to view their scan, so the manoeuvrability of the screen is a bonus.”
