Mayo now offers reduced waiting and better access

Mayo General Hospital has introduced a new MRI service that has been performing standard inpatient scans four days a week, increasing access for urgent patients and reducing out-patient waiting times.


In a purpose-built extension adjacent to the radiology department, the hospital has installed its first on-site MRI system, a Siemens Healthcare Magnetom Avanto 1.5T and a Somatom Definition AS 40 CT scanner.
