Merge VNA helps transform imaging data management with improved access

Merge VNA

Hospitals, NHS trusts, integrated care boards, health boards, imaging networks and imaging centres can face challenges with fragmented imaging data and incompatible systems across different locations. This can result in delayed diagnoses and inefficient workflows, creating barriers to collaboration and care delivery across care teams and with patients, according to distributor of medical supplies Hospital Services Limited (HSL).

Merge VNA, available from HSL, is said to help hospital systems improve results as a proven step toward a scalable, interoperable, secure and future-proof enterprise imaging system. VNAs consolidate imaging data of various formats into a single, centralised repository that operates across diverse systems including EPRs, departmental clinical and diagnostic systems, patient portals and more. Live examples include integrated imaging data across eight hospitals using a VNA, enabling clinicians to access patient imaging records without delay, improving communication and reducing inefficiencies by unifying imaging strategies.

“With a VNA, the shared image repository allows multiple departments and facilities to work more effectively. Streamlined processes consolidate workflows and eliminate redundant tasks. Data storage costs can be managed better with a single system,” HSL said.
