Meriden Hospital makes MRI and CT deal to expand services in the West Midlands

The Meriden Hospital in Coventry, part of independent hospital operator Circle Health Group, has acquired MRI and CT services previously operated
by UME Health in a deal that will enhance the services on offer to patients across the West Midlands and surrounding areas.
The deal will give patients choosing to pay for themselves, those with private insurance and those funded by the NHS access to a world-class quality of care, Circle Health says.
The Meriden Hospital, which opened in 2006, features 52 private inpatient rooms, 16 outpatient consultation rooms, three surgical theatres, a minor treatment unit and private GP services. This investment adds more than 28 diagnostic scans including CT coronary angiography with calcium scoring and cardiac angiography. Circle Health says its priorities will be to improve patient access to appointments, enhancing the profile of the hospital’s diagnostic and surgical capabilities from orthopaedic through to general surgery, in addition to outpatient and physiotherapy services.
“I am proud to announce our ongoing investment at The Meriden Hospital, which includes the addition of state-of-the-art MRI and CT scanning technology,” said hospital executive director Karen Pattison. “This enhancement allows us to better serve the community of the West Midlands by significantly reducing crucial diagnostic waiting times.”
