Mid-Yorkshire upgrades ultrasound services with 15 scanners

Toshiba Medical Systems ultrasound applications specialist Louise Higgins, clinical support workers Rebecca Holliday and Amber Richardson, Toshiba ultrasound applications specialist Dawn Ingham, radiology service manager Sue Robinson, consultant sonographer Alison McGuinness, clinical support worker Catherine Pollard, advanced practitioner sonographer Sally Hodgkins and student sonographer Amy Grimley.
Mid-Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust, which includes Pinderfields, Pontefract and Dewsbury hospitals, has completed an upgrade and expansion of its ultrasound services, which included the purchase of 15 Toshiba Aplio systems in two phases across the three hospital sites.
Consultant sonographer Alison McGuinness said: “We are extremely happy with the image quality and the flexibility that the systems bring to our department’s ever-expanding service needs. The introduction of the platforms and their technologies has been very well supported by Toshiba’s clinical applications team.”
