Modern mammography suite is unveiled in Solihull

News

Spire Parkway Hospital has opened a new mammography suite during a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Solihull facility, attended by vice chair and non-executive director Sir David Sloman. Designed to provide a calm and comfortable environment for patients, the suite is equipped with the latest digital breast imaging technology to enhance diagnostic confidence for clinicians and enable faster results for patients.

This development aligns with the hospital’s strategy to increase capacity and provide faster access to vital diagnostic tests for patients across the region. The scanning service currently operates every weekday and can be extended to cover weekends, ensuring flexibility to meet patient demand.

Hospital director Emily Montgomery said: “Our priority is to provide patients with timely access to the most advanced diagnostic technology available. The introduction of our new mammography suite reflects our ongoing commitment to investing in innovation that supports early detection and enhances patient care.

“We understand that attending a breast screening can be an anxious experience, so we’ve focused on creating a reassuring environment supported by the very best imaging technology. Patients can now expect a smoother, faster and more comfortable experience from start to finish.”
