MSK reporting student receives recognition from CCCU for academic excellence

Skilled Personnel award

Reporting radiographer at East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust (ESHT) Sophie Doick has been awarded the Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU) Award for Academic Excellence in Musculoskeletal Reporting, sponsored by the Skilled Personnel Network and presented by Skilled Personnel’s reporting governance expert Delphine Holmes. The award recognises the student achieving the highest marks in the PgC in Clinical Reporting (Musculoskeletal) within their cohort.

ESHT lead reporting radiographer Peter Dick said: “I must repeat how proud I am of Sophie attaining this accolade. At ESHT we consider ourselves fortunate to have an institute for reporting training almost on our doorstep with a reputation like CCCU’s and have sent many reporting recruits to them. Having four students successfully complete their training in January this year was a milestone, making Sophie’s achievement even more special. This would not have been possible without the efforts of the reporting team and mentors, and the foresight of managers to see this project through.”

Doick commented: “I am honoured to receive the award, especially after such an intense but rewarding year. A huge thank you to CCCU and Skilled Personnel, particularly Lisa and Fodi [Kyriakos], for their support. I feel lucky to be part of such a supportive reporting team. I’m excited to begin my reporting career.”
CCCU programme director Lisa Pittock added: “Sophie achieved the highest average marks across all modules in her cohort, a fantastic achievement that reflects her hard work balancing study, clinical duties and life outside work.”
