MP and AXREM visit Medispace to explore mobile and modular diagnostic solutions

In April, Medispace welcomed members of AXREM and Warrington North MP Charlotte Nichols to its Warrington site. The roundtable brought together policy-makers, industry and front-line delivery teams to explore how diagnostic capacity is being delivered in practice.
AXREM member Medispace provides fully equipped, flexible MRI and CT units that can be deployed almost anywhere. These clinical environments help hospitals maintain services, reduce waiting times and bring care closer to the community, aligning with the NHS England 10-Year Health Plan’s goals of increased diagnostic capacity and earlier diagnosis.
During discussions, the company shared lessons from delivering community diagnostic centres on the ground, including what works, what needs to move faster and how collaboration between industry and policymakers drives results. The visit reinforced that plans alone do not reduce waiting lists; delivery does, according to Medispace. AXREM CEO Sally Edgington highlighted the value of seeing solutions in action: “Days like today show the real impact on patient care and ensure innovation remains central to national planning.”
Medispace CEO Sander de Mooij added: “Our mobile and modular units demonstrate how hospitals can maintain continuity of care, offering flexible, high quality diagnostic environments that can be rapidly deployed in the community.”
