New frontiers in paediatric oncology imaging

The British Institute of Radiology hosted a paediatric oncology imaging event at the BIR’s headquarters on Portland Place in London.
New Frontiers in Paediatric Oncology Imaging was organised by Dr Jo Fairhurst, Dr Lorenzo Biassoni and the BIR’s Nuclear Medicine Committee on behalf of the British Institute of Radiology.
The meeting explored paediatric aspects of PETCT in children’s cancer imaging and discussed novel imaging techniques and image-guided therapy in paediatric malignancy.
Invited speakers included Professor Paul Griffiths from the University of Sheffield, who talked about More MRI Spectroscopy and MRI in Brain Tumours, and Dr Oystein Olsen from Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children who guided delegates through ADC Mapping in MRI.
