NIAW benefits from bulk data anonymisation tool

Rosenfield Health says its PRIX tool is transforming the way medical institutions handle DICOM anonymisation, enabling bulk processing at high speeds. The experience of a leading healthcare provider highlights the tool’s impact on radiology workflows.
“Before PRIX, anonymising a single study took up to 10 minutes, slowing down our workflow. With PRIX, it now takes seconds,” said National Imaging Academy Wales director Dr Phillip Wardle. “In just one week, we anonymised 6,000 plain film studies, something that would have been nearly impossible with traditional methods.”
The efficiency gains from PRIX stem from features including high speed processing, anonymising 100 x-ray images in four minutes and 100 CT images in 16 minutes; pseudo-anonymisation options, maintaining dataset integrity for longitudinal AI studies without exposing patient identities; multi-profile anonymisation enabling customised anonymisation rules for different use cases including AI training and clinical research; and job scheduling to set up and schedule anonymisation tasks to run automatically.
Rosenfield says PRIX contributes to environmental sustainability by reducing energy consumption and prolonging hardware lifespan.
