At Leighton Hospital are, in the back row from left, Toshiba Medical Systems UK general manager ultrasound Stuart Mills, ultrasound sales specialist, north west and north Wales, Bernard Vincent, senior sonographer Anne Hancock, Toshiba applications specialist ultrasound Nicky Sims and senior sonographers Jackie Marshall and Tracey Davies.  In front are superintendent sonographer Suzanne Lynn and senior sonographers Lai Chen Lau and Sarah Seddon.

Leighton Hospital, Crewe, has replaced ageing ultrasound equipment with six high-end Aplio MX and three Xario 15 mid-range machines from Toshiba Medical Systems.  They will be used to cover all aspects of radiology including paediatrics, MSK and obs/gynae.

“We chose Toshiba based on past experience and extensive clinical evaluation of all the systems,” said superintendent sonographer Suzanne Lynn.

The systems will be delivered to the hospital, part of Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, with an array of software packages.  One Aplio MX will have 4D imaging and another the CEUS package.
