NM meeting takes place at Bristol Zoo

Bristol Royal Infirmary NM staff involved in the planning and organisation of the meeting are (back row) superintendent radiographer Joanna Galpin, deputy superintendent radiographer Aline Demmery, radiographer Mark Baker, resident physicist Dr David Hall, ex staff member Ken Holmes.  In the front row are clerical staff member Carol McKenzie, radiographer Vicki Clark, radiography helper Katrina Hitchings and clerical staff Linda O’Reilly.

The annual South West Nuclear Medicine meeting was held in the Clifton Pavilion at Bristol Zoo and was, according to planning team member Joanna Galpin, a popular and interesting meeting.  She said: “The varied education program was well received, culminating in a fascinating talk on veterinary nuclear medicine, which had us all amused.”

Covidien’s European director Jan Kees Beers gave a talk about the ongoing problems regarding the supply of Technetium.
