Northampton orders acrylic and carbon fibre boards

Northampton General Hospital’s radiotherapy department has joined with the centre at University Hospital Leicester and is part of one of the largest specialist radiotherapy treatment facilities in the UK.
Vertec has supplied four standard Klarity Optek boards to Northampton General plus a special acrylic version.
Mould room manager Matthew York said: “In terms of the overlay, the Optek board was chosen primarily due to its integrated hand grips and we are seeing improved shoulder reproducibility. We originally saw this product on a visit to our colleagues over at Leicester and have been very happy with it so far.”
