Olympic medal winner Tweddle helps launch MRI scanner

British Olympian gymnast Beth Tweddle joined staff from Alliance Medical and Nuffield Health Chester to launch an MRI scanner at Nuffield Health Chester, The Grosvenor Hospital.
As part of a £900,000 refurbishment project, the Siemens Magnetom Aera 1.5T scanner replaces the old mobile unit that previously served the hospital and will enhance the diagnostic imaging services available, providing more information for a range of conditions. High resolution imaging technology procedures clear picture of organs and tissues while reducing examination times.
