Agfa plans to demonstrate that one image is all it takes

ECR Expo, News
Agfa Radiology CriticalScan

At ECR 2025, Agfa says it will showcase intelligent technologies that deliver exceptional diagnostic results with one x-ray. Solutions such as Musica, SmartXR and ScanXR help minimise retakes, accelerate workflows and elevate diagnostic confidence, the company says. The mobile DR 100s with ZeroForce enables high quality imaging at the bedside, while the launch of the glass-free Duraline XF+ family of detectors is intended to set a new standard for image resolution, durability and low weight within the range of Dura-line flat panel detectors.

“Our approach of ‘one image is all it takes’ aims to empower x-ray experts: radiologists get the accurate and high quality diagnostic information they need, while radiographers experience a smoother, more efficient and satisfying workflow. Ultimately, of course, it is all about ensuring the highest level of care for patients,” said DR business manager EMEA at Agfa Radiology Solutions Frank Barzen. “We are equally dedicated to providing exceptional aftersales services and support across the region, with expert field technical assistance and remote support to ensure customer satisfaction. By optimising the performance of our customers’ solutions, including through timely maintenance and modernisation, our innovative service offerings support healthcare providers to consistently operate at their best.”

The ScanXR portfolio assists clinicians and radiologists to accelerate the notification of suspected pathologies that tend to be underdiagnosed or that need to be treated immediately. This includes CriticalScan, an early warning system for critical findings in chest x-rays such as those indicating a risk of pleural effusion, tension pneumothorax, lung nodules or tuberculosis. It is powered by Lunit Insight CXR. DensityScan, powered by IBEX BH, is a ‘silent assistant’ that enables earlier identification of patients with a high risk of osteoporosis during ordinary x-rays.
