Online Fundamental Skills in MRI course provides hybrid approach to training

By improving understanding of the theory and application to practice, the Fundamental Skills in MRI Course delivered by Imaging Innovated provides radiographers with the knowledge to optimise clinical skills and is designed to ensure a consistent standard of knowledge across the team. Increasing work demands and pressures require radiographers to be trained to a high standard quickly and effectively to ensure continuing service provision and high safety standards, while limiting time away from the department.
The hybrid approach to training provided in the Fundamental Skills course series, provided by live interactive online content together with e-learning, enables clinical scenarios to be explored and cements the knowledge to apply the relevant theory to practice. In the MRI course, the scenarios are provided by the Corsmed MRI Simulator enabling staff to be better equipped to deal with the demands of daily clinical scanning. Delegate understanding of parameter selection and manipulation together with impact on image quality/scan time is improved.
Relative signal-to-noise ratio and accurate scan time is represented on all scenarios together with manipulation of geometry and timing parameters.
In addition to the established MRI courses, Imaging Innovated is continuing to develop an extended portfolio of courses and training including Fundamental Skills in CT Course, Leadership Skills Courses and Radiation Protection (IR(ME)R) for 2024.
