OSL partners with febromed to bring patient positioning system to the UK

Oncology Systems Limited (OSL), an independent supplier of radiotherapy and oncology solutions, has partnered with febromed GmbH and Co KG to distribute the get up patient transfer and positioning system for radiotherapy across the UK.
The get up system enables patients to position themselves independently while reducing physical strain on clinical staff. The system is available as a ceiling, floor or wall-mounted solution.
Already in use in several European radiotherapy centres, the system supports safer and more ergonomic patient handling workflows and is now available to radiotherapy departments across the UK through OSL. Through this partnership, OSL will provide comprehensive sales, installation, training and ongoing technical support for the get up system across radiotherapy departments in the NHS and private healthcare in the UK.
“We have seen firsthand the challenges patients face when attempting to move themselves from the treatment couch to an upright position. Th is not only impacts patient independence and confi dence but also places radiographers at risk of repeated MSK injuries,” said OSL sales manager Lucy Griffiths. “In addition, radiotherapy immobilisation equipment can be unintentionally damaged when used as an alternative transfer aid. Through this partnership, we aim to empower patients to regain control, support radiographers with improved ergonomics and help clinics maintain continuity of care.”
“OSL’s strong clinical expertise and close relationships with radiotherapy teams make it an ideal partner to support implementation and long-term success. Together, we aim to improve patient independence while helping clinical teams create safer and more ergonomic working environments,” added febromed sales director Stefan Volkmann.
