Bicester Community Hospital has become the third Oxfordshire institution to install Konica Minolta’s high-speed Aero DR technology, following Horton Hospital in Banbury and the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.
One of the key selling points for Bicester was the seamless fit with its current x-ray set-up, as radiology manager Andrew Robinson explained: “The Konica Minolta installation has allowed us to upgrade our analogue room to digital without the need to replace our current x-ray equipment, which is only five-years-old.”
“As well as the cost benefit, we were also impressed with the lower patient doses provided by the Aero system. Our patient throughput has been greatly increased thanks to the user interface and the burden of cassette handling has been reduced.”
