Pair of ceiling-suspended DR 600 x-ray rooms installed at facilities in Halifax

Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust has received two Agfa Radiology Solutions DR 600 x-ray rooms with glass-free Dura-line XF+ detectors. One is installed in Calderdale Royal Hospital and the other in the community diagnostic centre in Halifax. The trust chose the DR 600 due to its functionality and image quality.
“We had the opportunity to see Agfa’s solutions in action at another trust and were impressed with the system’s functionality and exceptional image quality,” explained team lead x-ray Laura Huggon. “This solution is not only a complete, versatile and fully integrated x-ray room; it also combines high productivity and automation with ease of use, which is really appreciated by our operators and patients alike. Feedback from clinicians has been positive too; many have commented on the improved image quality. The installation went smoothly and applications support has been readily available when needed.”
The trust provides acute and specialist care for people in Calderdale and Huddersfield and the wider communities, while the CDC in Halifax town centre provides a range of diagnostic services outside the traditional hospital environment.
