Patient-specific printed models earn Axial3D a place in first MedTech top 50

Axial3D has secured a top 50 ranking in Business Cloud’s inaugural MedTech top 50 competition, which celebrates the UK’s most innovative medical technology companies, based on strength in the key areas of strategic vision, customer focus and innovation.

Founded in 2015, Axial3D says it makes 3D printing accessible to the healthcare sector, delivering personalised anatomical insights to clinicians through its patented AI software. Axial3D has now worked with over 300 hospitals in 22 countries.

Axial3D founder and cso Daniel Crawford said: “We are extremely proud to have been included in the prestigious MedTech50 award. 3D printing is revolutionising patient care in hospitals across the world, offering better outcomes and more efficient use of resources.

“Having our work recognised at these awards highlights the importance of our mission to make patient-specific surgery routine by enhancing existing practices and giving clinicians easy access to patient-specific 3D printed models.”

The new annual ranking celebrates the UK’s most innovative companies helping to diagnose and treat existing conditions mostly in a hospital or clinical setting, and other biotechnology companies.
