Patients benefit from Eastbourne DGH’s low tabletop

Eastbourne District General Hospital, part of East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust, has made fluoroscopy procedures easier for patients with reduced mobility since the installation of an Axiom Luminos dRF from Siemens Healthcare.

“We were facing challenges due to patients with limited mobility struggling to get on the previous table,” said clinical modality manager for general, interventional, mammography and fluoroscopy Kathryn Dixon.  “The Luminos dRF solves this by providing a low table and enhanced weight capacity, meaning minimal handling is needed to position the patient.  It has already proven to be as easy to use and intuitive as our other Siemens systems, while the applications team was superb when it came to installation and training.”
