Consultant radiologist Professor Anwar Padhani at Paul Strickland Scanner Centre in Northwood has been rated a world expert in prostatic neoplasms such as prostate cancer.
Professor Padhani was ranked in Expertscape, a directory that helps patients find the most knowledgeable health professionals in the world. A statement from Expertscape said: “To be ranked among the top experts in the world is a rather significant achievement. Our rankings have become widely recognised and respected in medical and scientific communities worldwide because the objective results are based on peer-reviewed publications in scientific journals.”
As well as being an internationally recognised oncological MRI radiologist at Paul Strickland Scanner Centre, Professor Padhani is professor of cancer imaging at the Institute of Cancer Research, London, a co-chair of the international committee on MRI of prostate cancer (PI-RADS) and a member of the Advanced Prostate Cancer Consensus Conference. He has published more than 285 papers in peer-reviewed journals over the last 20 years.
