Pitsea’s Pets at Home store in Essex has installed an Astelion Advance 16-slice CT scanner from Toshiba Medical Systems.  The equipment in the veterinary clinic was opened by deputy mayor of Basildon Danny Lawrence.  This is the first CT scanner to be purchased by the Vets4Pets/Companion Care group.

Joint venture partner and veterinary surgeon Olushola Idowu said: “We selected the Toshiba equipment for its ease-of-use and image quality.  The scanner is already very busy imaging small mammals, particularly cats, and we are finding that, now that they know we have this facility, people prefer to bring their pets to our practice.”
