Philips adds trio of systems to enhance treatment planning

Philips intends to establish new standards in precision cancer care with the introduction of its Rembra RT and Areta RT CT systems, alongside the BlueSeal MRI RT featuring helium-free technology.
“As oncology teams face increasing demands for greater precision, efficiency and consistency, often under staffing and resource pressures, a new era of CT simulation is emerging to meet these challenges,” Philips says. The company’s Rembra RT and Areta RT are designed to accelerate and enhance cancer treatment planning. These systems are said to deliver clearer, more consistent images, enabling clinicians to visualise tumours in greater detail and plan treatments with confidence. “With ultra fast image reconstruction speeds and intuitive touch screen controls, 91 per cent of care teams report improved efficiency,” Philips reports. The wide 85cm field of view and advanced 4DCT imaging capture full respiratory cycles in a single scan, supporting patient-tailored therapy. Remote collaboration features and Philips’ Tube for Life Guarantee offer long-term value and operational reliability.

Complementing these CT advances, the Philips BlueSeal MRI RT system now features AI-powered SmartSpeed Precise software, introducing helium-free, sustainable MR imaging to radiation oncology and delivering superior image quality for confident simulation and planning.
The lightweight, vent pipe-free design allows flexible installation, reduces costs and supports environmental sustainability. More than 2,000 BlueSeal MRI scanners have been installed globally.
