Rad Chat is an award-winning oncology podcast, designed for cancer patients, healthcare professionals and academics. It is hosted by therapeutic radiographers Naman Julka-Anderson and Jo McNamara, who bring specialist knowledge and skills to the conversation.
Guests have included ceo of Macmillan Lynda Thomas, co-host of You, Me and the Big C Steve Bland, oncology breast surgeon and breast cancer patient Dr Liz O’Riordan, Paralympic champion Erin Kennedy MBE and consultant radiographer and clinical academic Dr Nick Woznitza MBE, as well as patients sharing their experiences of oncology.
The podcast is designed to educate healthcare professionals working in oncology and is CPD Now accredited by The Society and College of Radiographers. Alongside every podcast are reflective questions and links to resources and research.
Rad Chat is listened to in 86 countries worldwide with over 16,500 downloads across subscribed podcasting platforms. It also operates a range of content across social media platforms, making content widely accessible to a broad audience, encompassing patients, students, industry and a variety of oncology healthcare professionals.
“We started this podcast to help promote our profession and showcase the balance between the interpersonal skills and technical knowledge we use on a daily basis to treat cancer patients with radiotherapy,” said Julka-Anderson.
