Physiotherapist Nicky Wilson says the SonoSite M-Turbo has proved its worth in the shoulder clinic.

Patients attending at Solent NHS Trust’s musculoskeletal clinics at the Adelaide Health Centre in Southampton are benefitting from SonoSite’s M-Turbo hand-carried ultrasound system.

Clinical specialist physiotherapist Nicky Wilson said: “The introduction of ultrasound into our shoulder clinics came about because patients were experiencing long waiting times for ultrasound-guided injection in secondary care.  We wanted to be able to offer this service in-house, eliminating the need for additional patient referrals.

“We currently use the M-Turbo for ultrasound-guided therapeutic injection into the shoulder. It allows quick identification of the anatomical structures, enabling the needle to be accurately positioned.”
