Consultant rheumatologist at Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust Dr Ernest Wong has purchased Esaote’s MyLab 9 eXP ultrasound system to help develop ultrasound examinations of the temporal artery for giant cell arteritis in the south-west region.
Dr Wong selected the MyLab 9 eXP for its new 24MHz probe, which is said to provide excellent Doppler sensitivity and image quality, and because the system is intuitive to use.
The ultrasound system is designed by Esaote to support a full range of shared service diagnostic imaging environments. Results can be viewed with clarity to help make more informed clinical decisions. Italian-designed ergonomics provide comfort while a simple user interface helps increase productivity.
