Positive C-arm experience at Cork

Xograph territory business manager Michael Leonard and Wexford General Hospital radiology services manager Crona Carew.

Cork University Hospital installed its first Ziehm Solo mobile C-arm image intensifier from Xograph Healthcare in January 2011, and has been so impressed with its performance that it recommended the system to Wexford General Hospital.

Following an evaluation, Wexford acquired its own Ziehm Solo C-arm for general fluoroscopy work in the operating theatres, replacing an existing system that had been in use for 20 years.

Radiology services manager Crona Carew said: “We were impressed with the service received from Xograph at Cork so we decided to source a C-arm from them for Wexford General Hospital and they did not let us down.  Ziehm mobile image intensifiers are very compact and easy to move; the touch screen is simple to use and the image quality is excellent, which is why we prefer to use them.”
