The antenatal ultrasound department at Chesterfield Royal Hospital has installed a Toshiba Xario XG ultrasound system in preparation for nucal translucency (NT) screening.

The Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust serves the North Derbyshire population and beyond and provides a full range of acute services.

Lead sonographer David Burkitt said: “The Xario XG was chosen, after clinical evaluations, for its excellent image quality particularly in post-freeze zoom, which is required for the forthcoming NT screening service.”
