Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Gateshead has purchased two Toshiba Aplio 500 ultrasound systems with Contrast Harmonic Imaging, shear wave, elastography, SMI (superb micro-vascular imaging) and 4D.  Both scanners are dedicated breast systems and replaced exising equipment in a rapidly expanding service covering Gateshead, Sunderland and Durham.
