Queen Margaret University awards student prize for diagnostic radiography

Therapeutic radiography student Heather Hay was awarded the 2018 Fujifilm Medical Systems Award for Academic Excellence at the Queen Margaret University graduation ceremony.

Sponsored by Fujifilm for several years, the prize is awarded to the student with the best grades across the radiography programme, which includes diagnostic and therapeutic radiography students.

“It is a delight and an honour to accept this award,” said Hay.  “It is the perfect way to end my four years of study.”

“I will be forever grateful for the guidance and support I have received from my family, friends and lecturers while completing my studies, and I am thrilled that the dedication and hard work that has gone into this degree has been recognised. I am excited to see what the future holds and where my career in this constantly advancing profession takes me.”

General manager of Fujifilm Medical Systems Adrian Waller said: “Fujifilm would like to wish Heather every success in her future career. We are pleased to support Queen Margaret University with this annual student prize, and we look forward to continuing the sponsorship to encourage academic excellence in the field of radiography.”
