Radiographer 3.0 training initiative launched to harness the collective strength of the profession
UKIO 2026 provided the platform for the official launch of the Radiographer 3.0 training institute, a new initiative that has been developed through the Skilled Personnel Network and L&D Companion Radiographer Workforce Programme.
Radiography stands at the threshold of a new era shaped by AI, workforce transformation and rapidly advancing healthcare technologies, said Skilled Personnel. “Radiographer 3.0 has been developed to support professionals as they navigate this increasingly complex landscape.
“The programme brings together leadership, human factors, wellbeing, mental health, preceptorship and support for workforce development under one CPD framework. While clinical excellence remains at the heart of radiographic practice, the initiative recognises that future success will also depend upon the development of non-clinical skills, including resilience, communication, influence and leadership,” the company continued.
A key ambition of Radiographer 3.0 is to help amplify the voice of radiographers across healthcare and harness the collective strength of the profession on a global scale. Through education, mentorship, networking and career development opportunities, the programme aims to help radiographers to increase their influence and impact across the wider healthcare system.
