During the BSIR 2022 annual meeting in November, The U Foundation held a raffle and sale of Zambian hand-carved wooden animals. A total of £312.50 was raised towards the Siankaba Community Trust School, which delivers primary education in a remote part of the country. The U Foundation is a UK registered charity supported by the British Society of Interventional Radiology. BVM Medical covers all The U Foundation administration expenses so that all the funds the charity raises can go where they are intended. The foundation recognises that education is the key to improving life chances and its work has enabled hundreds of children in rural Zambia to have access to good quality education while also supporting the development of local communities.
