Range of profiles added to software during European Connectathon

News

Visbion’s Erling Austvoll and Eoin Collins had a successful week at their first Connectathon.

This year’s IHE-Europe Connectathon was held at Bochum, Germany, and Visbion reports it had a successful week.  Alongside over 300 attendees from more than 100 other companies, the Visbion team spent a productive week testing the compliance of its image management software to international standards such as Dicom 3.0, HL7, XDS and many more.  During the week, the company added a variety of new profiles to its set, with focus on master patient index functionality and image display.

Visbion says it has become the first company to pass the new IID Invoke Image Display profile, allowing it to launch third party diagnostic and non-diagnostic viewers from within the software.  The capability had been added for others to launch the Visbion viewer, Image Web, from their systems, meaning that Visbion now has fully standards-based viewer integration.
