RCR Annual Conference 2023: develop vital skills, build networks and support your career

October 12-13, International Convention Centre, Birmingham and online.
If you are looking to develop vital skills, build valuable connections and delve into the latest research, join us on October 12-13, for an immersive two days at the RCR Annual Conference 2023.
As we congregate at one of the UK’s largest conference centres, we look forward to welcoming radiologists, oncologists, and allied healthcare professionals from around the world. Our educational programme features clinical, professional development and wellbeing sessions delivered by a host of expert UK and international speakers.
Why join us on October 12-13?
Embrace new ideas!
No matter what stage of your career you’re at, you’ll come away having embraced new ideas. Keep at the forefront of clinical knowledge with our vast range of topics and takeaway skills that will contribute to changing clinical radiology and clinical oncology practice.
Our six concurrent streams will include interactive workshops on areas such as artificial intelligence (AI) in practice, advances in breast radiotherapy and nodal contouring, developing research initiatives, speed mentoring and auto-contouring for organs at risk (OAR) and more! There will also be time to speak to our session experts in our interactive panel discussions with live Q&A. View the full programme.
Personal and professional development
Several joint faculty sessions on personal and professional development will feature across both days. As physician burnout is increasingly recognised and is reflected in the two RCR census reports, we welcome the return of our wellbeing sessions to review the contributing factors and discuss strategies. Other professional development sessions will cover topics on speed mentoring, how to write a business case and pensions.
Build your networks!
Connecting, collaborating, and sharing experiences is a key feature of the event. There will be many opportunities to network with peers and meet our partners in the vibrant exhibition hall. And join our evening social programme on Thursday, October 12 with a welcome reception followed by a quiz night. If you fancy yourself as a general knowledge expert, bring out your competitive spirit, continue networking and enjoy a hot buffet meal!
Continuing professional development (CPD)
Our CPD programme devised and delivered by a faculty of subject matter experts, brings together the latest thinking and practical tools to improve clinical practice and enhance patient care. Seven CPD credits are available per day, with the option to gain extra credits by reviewing our gallery of over 100 in-person abstract posters alongside our audit e-posters.
We hope you can join us on October 12-13 in-person or online. We’re committed to delivering an excellent programme at this year’s RCR Annual Conference and look forward to welcoming colleagues from the UK and worldwide, for an inspirational and thought-provoking two-days of learning and collaborating.
