Refurbished department takes step in the right direction

Standing are Philips Healthcare service delivery manager Walter Maningo, account manager Steve Butt, general manager, south, Ian Graves, radiographers Amy Goodenough and Stella Koduah, radiology assistant Stacey Maynard, and trust chairman David Barron.  Seated are consultant radiologist Dr Sri Redia, CT superintendent radiographer Suzanne Browne and radiographer Edward Onyewuotu.

The radiology department at The Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow has been modernised to make way for state-of-the-art imaging equipment.  A number of modalities from Philips were selected by the trust for the refurbishment, including an Ingenuity CT scanner.

Radiology service manager Darren Hobbs said: “We were impressed with the superb user interface, which makes training new staff much easier.  We also appreciate the very quick scan times.  The iDose system for reducing patient dose is a step in the right direction.”
