Renal unit at Royal Preston chooses light ultrasound system

Toshiba Medical Systems ultrasound account manager Lynn Parkington, ultrasound applications specialist Louise Higgins and renal physician Dr Aimun Ahmed.
Royal Preston Hospital, Lancashire, has replaced an existing scanner from Toshiba Medical Systems in its renal unit with the company’s Xario 100 ultrasound system.
Renal physician Dr Aimun Ahmed said: “We selected the Xario 100 for its light weight and small footprint. The ergonomics of the system are excellent and we find it very easy to manoeuvre. We use it for renal biopsies and venous access and have found it is faster than our old scanner, helping us improve our throughput.”
