Artefact sensitivity within digital radiography: examples from a major trauma centre
Our trust has recently taken delivery of two new digital radiography systems that operate within the emergency department.
Since the introduction of the new systems several issues in relation to image artefacts have surfaced. Three different examples will be put forward in this article in order to show some problems that have been encountered and to provide a learning experience for other trusts and institutions moving over to the ever-increasing new era of digital radiography.
