Ashby GB’s Phil Facey and King George Hospital’s deputy chief technologist Rita Mackenzie.
Ashby Gorman Baker is celebrating 17 years in business as a leading independent service provider.
The first contract the company gained was with King George Hospital, part of Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust, which had an Elscint Apex SP6 system installed in 1997. When Elscint was taken over by GE the hospital decided to stay with the team of engineers who installed and maintained the camera – the newly formed Ashby GB.
Deputy chief technologist Rita Mackenzie and senior technologist Liz Turner run the nuclear medicine service at King George Hospital and Mackenzie said: “Being a single camera department it is essential that the camera’s downtime is kept to a minimum and Ashby GB has been excellent in maintaining and servicing the system, ensuring the minimum disruption to the service.”
