Sheffield imagers net fund-raising success

The medical imaging team at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust took to the court at the end of March to take part in a charity netball tournament.

Radiographers, apprentices, sonographers, advanced practitioners and managers all came together to raise money for the Palestine and Syrian refugees, a cause that the trust’s radiographers have a particular interest in supporting. A total of £590 was raised.

With a lot of new faces in the department it was an excellent team-building activity, with many teams participating in fancy dress. “For some it was an introduction to a new sport that they might have not tried before, and it was a good opportunity to scout future players for our X-rayders netball team that plays weekly in a Sheffield league,” explained X-rayders team member Kirstie Wilby. “All found it a great way to exercise and have fun.”
