Siemens rolls out education sessions in Ireland

Dr Simon Hughes from the Royal Victoria Hospital Belfast delivers a talk on PETCT in dementia at the Siemens Ireland nuclear medicine study day.

More than 90 people attended Siemens Healthcare’s nuclear medicine study day, hosted in association with Electramed.  Siemens Ireland’s education sessions have grown significantly over the last three years and this was its first study day designed for the nuclear medicine community in Ireland.

“Exciting advances in nuclear imaging can lead to earlier diagnosis and treatment of diseases such as cancer, neurological and cardiovascular diseases,” said head of Siemens Healthcare in Ireland Kevin Dand.

“The study day provided delegates with the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the latest developments in this field.  It also enabled them to engage with their peers to discuss the potential challenges and solutions facing the Irish nuclear medicine community.”
