The Skilled Personnel Network (SPN) has agreed a new education partnership with King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust to deliver a Learning and Development (L&D) Companion programme across its radiography workforce, marking a significant investment in professional development, wellbeing and long-term staff retention.

The L&D Companion programme, developed by SPN, is designed specifically for radiographers, students and radiology support professionals, combining CPD education with a strong focus on professional self-efficacy and career progression. This education partnership reflects a shared commitment between the trust and SPN to strengthen the radiography profession by developing support communities, creating focus groups and helping radiographers to approach their CPD education as a personalised career journey plan.

The L&D Companion is a dedicated digital resource designed to support radiographers in their lifelong learning and professional development. Powered by SPN, it harnesses sector expertise to deliver relevant educational content aligned with the demands of modern imaging practice.

The platform includes webinars led by industry experts, alongside workshops and one-to-one mentorship, all designed to build confidence, leadership capability and wellbeing skills at every stage of a radiographer’s career.

As imaging technologies, clinical protocols and professional standards continue to advance, content is regularly updated to ensure it remains accurate, evidence-based and clinically relevant.
